Edits save themselves
Everything you change in the editor (in simple and expert mode) is saved straight away as a draft. There's no «Save» button to look for. If the tab closes mid-work, the editor brings back what wasn't saved next time and tells you so.
While the edits are in the draft, the site shows the previous version. Visitors see nothing.
Publishing
“Publish the changes” puts the draft live. The bottom of the editor shows the state: «Everything is published» or «The edits are saved as a draft».
Changed your mind? Unpublished edits can be discarded as a whole: the site keeps its current version.
A new site is created as a draft. Publish it when you're ready. Publishing needs a verified domain, see «How to connect your domain».
Version history
Every publish saves a version of the site. The list is on the “History and tests” tab in simple mode, or in the «Settings» window → «History and tests» in expert mode.
«Restore» brings the site back to the chosen version right away. The current one stays in the history too, so nothing is lost.
Who changed what
Creating, publishing, archiving and deleting sites, changes to domains, roles and integrations are recorded in “Activity log”: who did what and when. Content edits of a specific site are in its version history.
