This policy explains what data the Tersby service collects (the tersby.app site and the app.tersby.app dashboard), why it is needed and what you can do about it.
Who is responsible for the data
The team behind the Tersby service ("Tersby", "we") is responsible for the data. The service is owned by Ihnatiev Volodymyr, a sole proprietor registered in Ukraine. You can reach us at [email protected] or through the support chat in the dashboard.
The two roles of Tersby
- Data of our customers. These are the people who sign up for Tersby and build sites. Here we decide why and how data is processed.
- Data of visitors to customers' sites, and leads from those sites. This data belongs to the customer: they decide why it is collected and where it goes. We process it on their behalf so that the site and its leads work.
What we collect about customers
- Account: name, email, language and a hash of the password. We do not store the password itself.
- Organization and team: its name, members, their roles and the activity log.
- Billing: plan, amounts, dates and statuses of payments, the payment and subscription ids at the payment provider, and the invoice details you entered, if any: name, address, tax and registration numbers, billing email. We do not receive or store card numbers or wallet details. For card payments we only know the card type and its last 4 digits.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, sign-in time, the list of active sessions.
- Support requests: the conversation and attached files.
- What you upload: texts, images, site settings and integration keys. Keys are stored encrypted.
What passes through customers' sites
- Leads: the name, phone and other form fields the customer set up, plus the data of forms a visitor started filling in.
- Visits: IP address, country, device, browser, referrer, UTM tags and the click ids of ad platforms.
The customer is responsible for having a lawful basis to collect this data and for telling visitors about it.
Why we use data
- To provide the service: sign-in, sites, leads, notifications and integrations.
- To accept payments and keep records.
- To protect the service from break-ins, spam and abuse.
- To answer requests and tell you about important changes.
- To improve the service based on aggregated statistics.
We do not sell data and do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share data with
Only those without whom the service cannot work, and only as much as they need:
- the hosting provider whose servers run the service;
- the email delivery service: sign-in emails, invitations and notifications;
- Paddle.com, the Merchant of Record for payments by card and other checkout methods: the name, email, country and invoice details needed for the payment, the invoice and taxes. You enter your card details directly in Paddle's form, and Paddle processes them under its own privacy policy;
- the cryptocurrency payment provider, when you pay in cryptocurrency;
- Telegram, if you connected Telegram notifications;
- ad platforms (Meta, TikTok, Google) and CRMs that the customer connected to their own site: they receive that site's events and leads;
- public authorities, where the law requires it.
Cookies
tersby.app uses cookies and browser storage. Necessary ones always work: without them the site doesn't open properly. Analytics and advertising are turned on only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Before that, those services aren't loaded.
Necessary. The site's language, your cookie choice, the support chat, bot protection. The site can't work without them, so they need no consent.
- Tersby: the site's language, your cookie choice and the support chat. Cookies:
lang, tersby_consent. In the browser:tersby-support, tersby-support-email. Kept: lang: 1 year, tersby_consent: 6 months, chat: until you clear the browser. - Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.): protects the site from bots and attacks (not always set). Cookies:
__cf_bm. Kept: 30 minutes. Cloudflare privacy policy
Analytics. How many people come, from where, and what they read. Helps us make the site and help center clearer.
- Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited): visit statistics. Cookies:
_ga, _ga_*. Kept: up to 2 years. Google Analytics privacy policy
The dashboard at app.tersby.app uses only necessary cookies: for signing in and protecting forms.
Google, Microsoft and Meta may process data in the United States. They take part in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, so the transfer rests on the European Commission's adequacy decision.
You can change or withdraw consent at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing doesn't affect what happened before it. Your choice is kept for 6 months, then we ask again.
Customers' sites may use the pixels and tags the customer connected. The customer is responsible for them and for their visitors' consent.
How long data is kept
- Account and site data is kept while the account exists.
- Leads and statistics are kept until the customer deletes them or deletes the account.
- Payment records are kept for as long as accounting law requires.
- Backups are kept for a limited time and are overwritten.
After an account is deleted, data is removed or anonymized within a reasonable time, except what we must keep by law.
How we protect data
Connections are encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are stored as hashes, integration keys are encrypted, access to the servers is restricted, and actions in the dashboard are logged. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete your account, restrict processing, object to it or withdraw consent. To do so, write to [email protected].
If you are a visitor of a site built with Tersby, contact the owner of that site: they control your data, and we will help them fulfil the request.
Children
The service is meant for entrepreneurs and companies. We do not knowingly collect data about children.
Changes to this policy
We will tell you about significant changes in the dashboard or by email before they take effect. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
