How it works
A visitor arrives from a link with UTM tags, for example utm_campaign=drill. The site sees the tag and shows the copy and blocks you set for that ad. The swap happens on the server, so the visitor never sees the text change. Tags are remembered for a day, so other pages of the site match too.
It works with utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term and sub1…sub5.
Swapping text
- In expert mode, select a heading, text, button or badge.
- On the right, open “Text by marks” and click “Add a rule”.
- Choose the tag, enter what it must contain (several values separated by commas) and write the text for these visitors.
The first matching rule wins. With no match, the normal text stays.
Showing by tags
Any element or section has “Show by marks”: “Everyone”, “Only” (only visitors with the tag see it) or “Except” (everyone but them sees it). That way you can show a block to one ad and hide it from another.
Checking it
Open your site from a link with the tag you need, for example drill.tersby.app/?utm_campaign=drill. A link with tags is easy to build in “Link for ads (UTM)” on the “SEO and ads” tab. In the editor, elements are always visible, whatever the tags.
